SHINE IDER SOUM

**Location: **Khuvsgul province, northern Mongolia

Mongolia’s administrative system is organized into cities, provinces (aimags), and soums. With around 330 soums across the country, Shine Ider is one of them. Established in 1923, the soum is home to approximately 3,000. A visit to Shine Ider offers a great way to experience daily life where a settled community and traditional semi-nomadic culture exist side by side.
