Location: Arkhangai Province, central Mongolia
Located in the branch mountains of Mongolia’s Khangai Range, Tsenkher Hot Spring is the country’s second highest temperature natural spring, rising from deep underground at approximately 86 °C (186 °F). Its mildly alkaline water contains hydrogen sulfide and silicon compounds and flows at about 10 liters per second. Several nearby hot spring sources, including Bort Tal, Gyalgaar, and Tsagaan Sum, add to the area’s geothermal character. Traditionally, Tsenkher Hot Spring has been used for wellness purposes and is believed to help ease joint discomfort, improve certain skin conditions, and support recovery following medical treatment.
