Daily Itinerary

Day 1:Ulaanbaatar
Your journey begins with a full-day exploration of Ulaanbaatar. You will visit Gandan Monastery and the Chinggis Khan National Museum, followed by an evening of traditional Mongolian cultural performance.

Day 2:Khovd Province
Today we take a domestic flight to Khovd Province, followed by a drive to the ger camp.

Day 3:Snow Leopard
We venture into the Altai Mountains with experienced local trackers in search of the snow leopard, one of the world’s rarest big cats and a symbol of Mongolia’s wild alpine ecosystems. Inhabiting steep, remote terrain, the species thrives in rugged mountain landscapes. This is an active day with hiking across valleys and ridgelines while scanning for tracks and wildlife activity.

Day 4:Snow Leopard
We continue our snow leopard photography in the mountains.

Day 6:Saiga Antelope
We spend the day photographing the saiga antelope, a critically endangered species distinguished by its unique bulbous nose and nomadic herds. Inhabiting Mongolia’s open steppe and semi-desert plains, saiga move across vast landscapes in search of pasture. The day is dedicated to wildlife observation and photography in their natural habitat.

Day 7:Saiga Antelope
Continue seiga antelope photography

Day 8:Pallas's Cat
Pallas’s cat is a rare and distinctive small wildcat of Central Asia, recognized for its round face, dense silver-grey fur, and low, stocky build adapted to cold steppe and rocky habitats. Today we begin photographing Pallas’s cat.

Day 9:Pallas's Cat
We continue Pallas’s cat photography. During the day, there is also an opportunity to photograph camels and golden eagles.

Day 10:Return to Ulaanbaatar
Return flight to Ulaanbaatar and rest at the hotel.

Day 11:Khustai National Park & Ulaanbaatar
Khustai National Park was established to reintroduce the takhi (Equus ferus przewalskii Groves), the world’s last remaining species of truly wild horse listed in the IUCN Red List. The reintroduction began in 1992, and today the park is also home to many other rare species of flora and fauna, including marmots, deer, and birds of prey.

Day 12:Terelj National Park
Gorkhi–Terelj National Park is one of Mongolia’s most scenic and accessible protected areas, located about 70 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar. Known for its dramatic granite rock formations, forested valleys, alpine meadows, and winding rivers, the park offers a classic landscape of northern Mongolia.
